I’m a PhD student (advisor: PD Dr. Katja Jasinskaja) at the CRC 1252 Prominence in Language at the University of Cologne, Germany. I’m part of the project C06: Prominence in Subordinating Rhetorical Relations (PI: PD Dr. Katja Jasinskaja).
For my PhD project, my research focuses on the nuanced ways in which semantic prominence and recency principles operate within the dynamic environment of instant messaging, shedding light on how digital dialogues shape and are shaped by these discourse processes.
Outside my academic life, I have a passion for baking, a love for travel, and an enjoyment of swimming. Baking is my creative outlet, travel expands my perspectives on language and culture, and swimming offers me a mental and physical reset.
